Johnathen's arrival is near!

We are only a few days from our son's grand entrance into this world. We found out when I was nineteen weeks along that he has CDH (congenital diaphragmatic hernia), he has a hole in his diaphragm and his stomache is in his chest pushing against his heart moving it to the right side, up until recently that is all that has been in his chest but now the liver has made it up there also. All these other organs in his chest will prohibit his lung growth and could possibly do damage to his heart also, being that it compresses everything that is in the chest and prevents proper growth. We are having the c-section on Monday Nov. 17th 2008 at 7:30 am. Today was the last appointment we had at the perinatologist's, I was only supposed to get a nonstress test done, but a certain little stinker chose not to cooperate and wouldn't stay put long enough for the monitor to pick up his rate so they decided to do a quick ultrasound, it was quite pleasant our little man was making the funniest face in there, he was sticking his toungue out in one, yawning in another, looked like he ate a sour lemon in another one and it looked like he was crying in another, then he finally calmed down a bit and had the sweet and innocent sleeping look. Only a few more days left to go I am nervous yet so excited to be having another little guy, I just hope and pray he can be strong to make it past this hurdle of CDH.
